In recent years there have been an increasing number of high profile cyber attacks and data breaches in the news. Fortunately none have ever affected TicketSource or our clients.

Security is always a top priority for us, so we welcome the news that as a preventative measure, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Council has issued a new version of its compliance standard (PCI DSS 3.1) which enforces increased security requirements on all websites that process credit and debit card payments.

What the new security standards mean for you

The result of the new standard is that PCI DSS 3.1 compliant websites will no longer support older versions of web browsers which do not meet the PCI’s latest compliance standard.

TicketSource will be enforcing PCI DSS 3.1 compliance from 1st November 2015.

What to do now

To ensure a smooth transition to the new compliance standard, we would urge you to take the time this week to install the latest version of your preferred web browser.

However you may already be using a compliant version.

To check whether your web browser is already compliant with the PCI DSS 3.1 standard, you can visit   https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html

Once on the site, scroll down to the "Protocol Features" section and confirm that TLS 1.2 is supported by your web browser. If it is supported you will see "Yes" next to the TLS 1.2 line, as shown in the screenshot below.

Important:

If you see "No" on that line, then simply update your web browser to the latest version.
