Using the in-house Quick Booking feature can greatly reduce the length of time your customers need to queue to buy tickets on the night. It will also relieve the pressure on the box office staff to get the lines moving.
Some events can be more prone to last minute booking, particularly outdoor events where people want to see what the weather will be like before they book. Or maybe you ran a promotional campaign to get those remaining tickets sold. Whatever the reason for a sudden rush of customers in the minutes leading up to the event, Quick Booking can help you sell tickets with a streamlined checkout process.
Quick Booking has less steps than the standard booking process, so this does mean that you miss out on the opportunity to gather valuable contact details and marketing preferences. So we would recommend that you only use this option when there isn't much time before the start of your event.
To activate Quick Booking, go to Actions | Activate Quick Booking.
A little lightning bolt will appear on the Book Now ticket icon of events that have Quick Booking activated.
You then simply need to select the tickets the customer requires and click 'next'.
The final screen enables you to determine how they will pay for their tickets, and you can click 'book tickets' to finalise. If the queue slows down and you want to use the standard booking process, where you are able to collect their contact details and marketing preferences, simply click the 'full checkout' button.
Keep in mind that Quick Bookings will not show customer names on the Sales Report, as contact details are not recorded in this shortened booking process.
NOTE: Quick Booking will remain active until you manually deactivate it, under Actions | Deactivate Quick Booking.
