With the upcoming Autumn and Winter seasons providing plenty of opportunity for themed events, you could think about adding additional items to tie in with the theme of your event.
For example, with Bonfire Night just around the corner, you could add sparklers or hotdogs as sundry items for customers to be able to pre-order. This has the added bonus of reducing cash-handing on the night for both yourself and customers and provides you with an indication of how much stock to order and take with you to the event.
Pre-ordering additional items
When customers pre-order additional sundry items, they will be sent a voucher, along with their tickets, to be exchanged on the night for their pre-ordered items.
If you are organising a comedy night or music gig, you could use the Sundry Options as an opportunity to sell merchandise before the event. This will save time on the night and queues for merchandise will be significantly reduced, as customers will just need to exchange their vouchers for their pre-ordered items.
Offering pre-theatre meals? The Sundry option is a great place to add the meal choices, so that your catering team know in advance the meal orders that need to be prepared.
In the last few days running up to your event, consider offering incentives to drive those last minute ticket sales!
Everybody loves a little freebie, and a token gesture of a free drink, for example, could really push ticket sales in the last few days before your event.
Adding the sundry option
Sundries can be found in your TicketSource account under:
Settings | Sundry Options | Add new Sundry Option
You will then be able to list your items, determine the events they are applicable to and choose if you would like them to be unlimited or set a limited number for availability.
Customers will see the additional items listed as 'options' below their ticket choices.
One point to note, is that sundries cannot be ordered without booking tickets, so remember to let your customers know about the additional items when promoting your actual event.
