Using your customer database to fuel your events

By utilising our MailChimp email integration you can send professional looking emails out to your customers. Every time a customer books online, their details are automatically compiled into a database that you can download as an Excel file or CSV whenever you need a list to power your email marketing and your Facebook campaigns.

Promoting your events via email

Personalised emails can really enrich your marketing, and recipients can feel motivated to take advantage of what's on offer in the email.

Just remember to make sure that your event is open to accept bookings before sending out offers, in order to avoid customer frustration.

Remember to keep your correspondence to the point and ensure that the email title is appropriate to the content – readers don’t want to feel misled. You could even use the opportunity to email your regular customers to offer exclusive discounts or to promote an early bird booking price reduction.

MailChimp makes it so easy to send past customers details of future events and even to offer them discounts. Include a BUY TICKETS link, so whilst you have their attention they are just one click away from being able to buy your tickets.

How to export your data

To export customer data, login to your account and go to:

Customers | Export Customers

You will then be able to select if you would like to export information for all of your customers or if you would like to export event-specific customers. This is handy is you want to create specific targeted emails. For example, if you organise conferences and pantos, you wouldn't want to send a panto promo to the customers who only attend your conferences. So filtering the customers you export can make your marketing much more efficient.

Once you have selected the data to export, click 'export customers' and a .CSV file can be downloaded.

If you have a MailChimp account, you will be able to upload this .CSV file and begin creating your promotional emails!
