TicketSource ticket scanning

If you've got an event coming up, you may be thinking about how you'll be checking your customer's tickets as they arrive. You want to make the process as simple as possible to avoid frustrated fans.

There may be unique requirements for your events, which is why we offer a variety of ticket validation methods to suit any type of event.

Big events or events with multiple entry points

Our hireable Scanner Kits let you scan tickets at multiple entrances and gates and validate them in real-time using a 3G/4G or WiFi connection. All tickets are audibly and visually accepted or rejected so you can quickly get the queues moving.

Great if you have:

  • Multiple entry points to your event
  • A big event with lots of customers
  • Low-light conditions where tickets will be scanned

Take a look at the video below to see the Kits in action. Within a couple of minutes, a team of volunteers were able to use our ticket Scanner Kits to quickly and efficiently manage an audience of 20,000 across the shows in the Cardiff Open Air Theatre Festival.

Mid-size events or events with no access to the internet

This is our offline scanning option for your Windows PC/laptop. All you need to do is install the software and download your event data before you head to the event. You will also need a USB scanner to start scanning tickets. Once you are at the event, you can simply scan the barcode or QR code to check people's tickets.

Once you have scanned a ticket, it cannot be re-scanned. So you can rest assured that people can't gain access with fraudulent copies of the same ticket.

Great if you have:

  • An event in the middle of nowhere with no internet signal
  • A mid size event where checking tickets against a list would take too long

Mid-size events with multiple entrances

TicketSource Express is a free app for your Apple or Android smartphone which works with your TicketSource account to let you scan the code on your customer's tickets as they arrive. You can have the app installed on multiple devices related to the same TicketSource account in order to scan tickets at different entrances.

Great if you have:

  • Multiple entrances to cover and you need a simple ticket scanning solution
  • A mid size event where checking tickets against a list would take too long

Smaller events

If you have a smaller event and you'd like to simply tick your guests off a list as they arrive. With the Front of House report, you can print off your entire guest list ready to check. All tickets feature a unique booking reference number, making it easy to identify customer bookings.

Great if you have:

  • A small event and just want to tick guests off a list as they arrive
  • The need to see all tickets and any customer bookings notes together all on one page
