Tidy your Customer Database - Deduplicate

If you have numerous files for the same customer, we have a dedupe process which will clean and merge the customer files.

The dedupe process looks for matches on the three following fields - surname, initial and postcode.  If multiple customer files match on two of these fields, you will be prompted as to whether you are happy to go ahead with the merger of these records.

To undertake a dedupe:

  • Go to "Customer | Deduplicate Customer Database"
  • Duplicate customer files will be displayed
  • Untick any customers that you do not want to merge
  • Click on "Deduplicate Selected Customers"
