Learn more about Orphan Seats

Orphan seats are single seats that are left for sale - which are usually more difficult to sell.  You can enable the "orphan seat rule" which will prevent online customers leaving a single seat (with some exceptions).  Please note that if activated, the orphan seat rule is only applicable to online bookings and not applicable to tickets sold through your back office.

To activate the orphan seat rule, go to:

  1. "Settings" and select "Events".
  2. Tick the box next to "enable orphan seat rule on internet bookings".
  3. Click on "save changes".

Please note:

  • The orphan seat rule has some flexibility for online bookings when an event is almost sold out.

  • The system will allow customers to leave a single seat if there are no other seats available for them to book on that row.
