Modifying Your Event


Here, we break down the event designer bit by bit to learn exactly what you can do to make the most of your events on TicketSource.

Price Category Names


This text box is to enter the price category name/description. Ensure it differs from other price categories. This information is visible on the customer ticket. This option is required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify.

Event Price Cost


This text box is to enter the monetary cost per ticket. This information is visible on the customer ticket. This option is required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify.

Price Category Comments or Conditions


Use the text box to include any comments or conditions which are specific to the price category which is being modified. Customers will be able to see these comments below the price categories. This option is not required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify.

Individual or Group Tickets


Choose whether the price category will admit one person or multiple people. If the price category is a Group Ticket, then a text box will appear. The text box will show how many people the group ticket should admit. This option is required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify.

Members Only Price Categories


This tick box and text box toggle whether the price category is available to members only or the public. Customers will be required to enter their membership number and their last name to confirm their membership. The membership number and last name must match an existing customer record in the TicketSource database. This option is not required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify, then select the Advanced Settings tab.

In-House Only Price Categories


This tick box toggles whether the price category is only available for in-house bookings or not. This option is helpful if tickets are at a different price when bought online. Customers booking online will not be able to see this price category. This option is not required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify, then select the Advanced Settings tab.

Password Protect Price Categories


This tick box toggles whether the price category should be password protected or not. If selected, a text box will appear where the required password will need to be filled out. This option would mean that customers would have to enter the password stipulated before they can buy the specific price category. This option is useful for price categories which are time-sensitive. This option is not required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify, then select the Advanced Settings tab.

Set Total Ticket Availability


This tick box and drop down allows event organisers to choose whether there are a set amount of tickets available in total for the selected price category, and if there is a set limit, choose how many there are available. This option is not required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify, then select the Advanced Settings tab.

Price Category Start and End Date


This tick box and text boxes allow event organisers to choose whether the price category has a strict start and end time. This is useful for time-sensitive price categories like early bird offers, advance tickets and last minute sales like Black Friday Sales. Please note that these price categories will not be able to be purchased online or in-house. This option is not required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify, then select the Advanced Settings tab.

Minimum and Maximum Ticket Selection


These drop-down boxes allow the choice to select the minimum and maximum amount of tickets a customer can select per transaction. This option is not required. To reach this option in the event designer, under the Price Category column press Modify, then select the Advanced Settings tab.
